The room was a beautiful blend of simplicity and comfort, with the best bathroom facilities I encountered during my travels in Japan. The vegetarian meals prepared by the monks were not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes.
I totally recommend this hotel.

I couldn't sleep at all because my room was right by the corridor. The thin walls meant I heard everyone heading to the bathroom all night. It really disrupted my rest, which was frustrating during an otherwise lovely stay.

I recently stayed for three nights at a fantastic monastery in Japan, and it was quite the experience! The staff and monks were friendly, and the traditional futon beds on tatami mats provided a comfortable resting place. The morning chanting and meditation sessions were highlights, and the beautifully prepared vegan meals showed a true dedication to culinary art.
I totally recommend this hotel.

A serene retreat with beautiful gardens and traditional décor. The meals were interesting and good, though a bit light. Interaction with the monks could have further enriched the experience. The peaceful atmosphere and cute vibes made for a nice stay, despite a few minor inconveniences.

The beds were uncomfortable, resting on a hard tatami floor. I expected some discomfort, but this was next level. Add the noise from thin walls and paper dividers, and it made for a rough night’s sleep.

We enjoyed a beautiful room with a stunning garden view at Sanadabo Rengejoin. The peaceful ambiance and delicious vegetarian meals enriched our experience. the thin walls made us aware of other guests, and the curfew required planning. I highly recommend this place!
